The story that remains
Discovered in 1987, this 11th-14th century rock church is carved into the living rock. It preserves Byzantine frescoes, including a Christ Pantocrator and a rock-cut baptismal font. It is one of the oldest places of Christian worship in Modica and is worth visiting for its historical and archaeological uniqueness.
